I always wash the horse boots in the washing maschine, juast make sure all the velcro is stuck to each other and they come out like new.

I've seen a few of your videos, you are such a talented young rider, and you can tell that you really love being around horses, but what is good is that you never over use your whip, I've been riding awhile, and I've seen some riders who are always using their whips for anything, not just adults but kids as well.

I also have a very short torso and short arms. I'm a lot bigger than you tho, 5'7" and XL. Still, getting jackets to fit is nearly impossible. I wonder if you could get one altered for a reasonable price? Thx for sharing, those shipping boots are to die for!!!

Yeah Pony Club needs to start its students off with simple and direct groundwork because it gets your horses broke to halter- i.e. supple and bending and relaxed.. Then when starting under saddle Pony Clubbers should be taught turns on the forehand and haunch and settling their horses- how to rein back and forward agaain- Then after these skills are demonstrably mastered students should be started over jumps.. Too many PCers are started jumping cuz the kids find it fun and jumping keeps them coming back for lessons. Suppling bending and controlling the horses foot movement will help to keep the kids out of trouble because they will tools to use when their horses need their help being obedient and focused. best Bruce Peek

I ended up not joining my college equestrian team because, like you, I was an eventer and they put a lot of weight on your experience in the hunter jumper circuit and the head coach basically had a reputation for favoring the people who board their horses at their stable. I didn’t own my own horse, and no one was competing high level in the corner of the state I’m from. They ultimately wanted me to just do flat classes the first year and kept going on about how successful I would be at it because of how skinny I am (I wish I was joking). The head coach and the barn manager seemed like such coldhearted people that I ended up dropping out before the competition season began. I never really got a chance to get to know the other riders very well, aside from a girl in my dorm who also planned on dropping- despite being exactly the type of rider they were looking for. There were only a couple riders I got bad vibes from. Anyway, this was years ago and I think the team has different coaches and a different stable. I forgot to mention, during the tryouts, I did my best imitation of a hunt seat position, but I honestly think I would have been better off just doing my normal style. I think I did fine on the flat but I don’t think I was happy with any of my fences.
